Delete Your Account

You can delete your web account yourself, at any time, free of charge. It takes about a minute — and it takes effect immediately, with no way back. See step 3.

1. Sign in and open Settings.
2. Scroll to Delete my account. You will be shown exactly what is about to be removed before anything happens.
3. Type DELETE to confirm. If you signed up with an email and password, you will also be asked for that password.
4. Optionally tell us why you are leaving — this step can be skipped.

The Astro Nova mobile app signs you in separately from the website, so it keeps its own account. If you have used both, delete each one.

1. Open The Astro Nova app.
2. Go to Settings → Delete Account.
3. Type DELETE to confirm.

Your account is marked for deletion immediately. An automated job then permanently erases the data — it runs once a day, at 02:00 UTC.

The two surfaces behave differently, and the difference matters, so we would rather spell it out than let you assume.

• On the website, deletion is immediate and permanent. The moment you confirm, your account and its data are erased. There is no waiting period and no undo — not by you, and not by us.
• In the Android app, you have 30 days. Your account is deactivated straight away but stays recoverable: sign back in within 30 days and it is restored as it was. After that an automated job erases it for good.

Because the website gives you no second chance, export anything you want to keep before you confirm.

• Your profile — name, email, and profile photo.
• Your birth data — date, time and place of birth.
• Every chart, reading, horoscope, compatibility report and remedy generated for you.
• Your AI chat transcripts, voice consultation history, and any persona memory built from them.
• Journal entries, saved readings and bookmarks.
• Streaks, achievements and other progress data.
• Push notification tokens and notification preferences.

We would rather tell you this plainly than let you discover it later. Indian law does not let us erase everything, and two categories survive account deletion:

• Account identifiers and authentication logs — 180 days. Required by Rule 3(1)(h) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, for law-enforcement cooperation. This is the user ID, email and phone number, not your readings or birth data.
• Financial records — 7 years. Invoices, credit transactions and refunds, required by CGST Rule 56 and section 44AA of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

We also keep anonymised, aggregated usage statistics. These carry no identifier and cannot be traced back to you.

Deletion is irreversible after the 30-day window, so export anything you want to keep before you start. You can download a copy of your data from Settings — the option is offered as part of the deletion flow itself, before the point of no return.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by Google Play, because that billing relationship is between you and Google, not us. Cancel it yourself:

1. Open the Google Play Store app.
2. Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
3. Select The Astro Nova → Cancel subscription.

Credits bought on the website are governed by our refund policy.

If you have lost access to your account, email support@theastronova.com from the address you registered with, using the subject "Delete my account". We will verify it is you and complete the deletion.

If you are writing on behalf of someone who has died, please contact us — there is a separate process, and we will handle it with care.
